What do you do in your spare time?

So in an attempt to get to know each other a little bit more, I am asking what you all do in your spare time. Work, family, and school do not count as valid answers.

I will go first... I like to take my dog for a walk through the woods by my house and sit on the old railroad tracks (trains don't go through there anymore) at night.

I also love going to country music concerts and festivals

And something i bet noone would ever guess. I like to go to church.

Church,.. I find that hard to believe...

hehe as for me I play soccer and go to the gym a lot. Being fit is something thats important to me.

Other than that its riding bikes around town with friends bar hopping, or having ppl over for vegan/veg barbecues etc. Also travelin.. Love to go to different counries and experiance new cultures.

Scrime and I enjoy having people over to play board games and the ever popular "Rock Band". We have tons of board games. Ranging from Settlers to Twilight Imperium. So many that we have a "game" closet. Needless to say we are never bored. Oh and there might be a bit of alcohol somewhere in there as well. (Tequila Sunrise and Margaritas being my favorite.) Exciting Huh?

I like to read a lot, play different consul games, watch weird movies and driving Scrime completely crazy.

Scrime loves to cook and he is very good at it. Making meals that are way worth staying home for. His friends love coming over to eat instead of eating their TV dinners at home. He is a natural born chief.

He will likely kill me for saying that!

Sisay, can you have him teach Deathbunny to cook? All he can make is eggs. Eggs, eggs, and more eggs.

I'm pretty active with my union (California Association of Professional Employees) and my professional organization (International Association of Assessing Officers), so I spend many evenings and weekends working on various projects for them (and yes, really, those associations are kind of as dull as they sound unless you're into it, lol).

Deathbunny and I also raise horses, mainly Arabians, although we've cut our numbers down to three. We just don't have as much time, money, or desire to pursue that hobby as in-depth as we once did. We breed a foal every couple of years now. The last is now a three year old, we're thinking of having a mare bred next year for a baby in 2011. But horses have always been a big part of my life, can't imagine not having at least a couple.


DB and I also play and compete in another video game, Derby Owners Club, which is an arcade game found at Dave & Busters, Gameworks, etc, produced by Sega. It's a horse racing RPG where your horse data is stored on magnetic cards you can use on any Derby machine in the country. We used to be heavy into the tournaments, but much of that scene has died away, so we mainly play for fun now, although I did just compete in a tournament a couple weekends ago. That's usually how I spend my Friday nights, at Gameworks happy hour, playing games.

And in between all that, there's housework, yardwork, playing with the dogs, and the like. It's tough now that DB works graveyard shift (I work days), we have to spread the chores out instead of work on them together. And we each have long commutes.

We fill in every other available hour not sleeping, working, or any of the rest of the above by playing....World of Warcraft...with you fine people.

When I can I really love to go to Cedar Point. Its only about 20 minutes from where I live, but can get expensive. I have rode every ride in that park, rolercoasters are so fun!

There is an island on Lake Erie called Put-in-Bay. Thats like the party spot for northern Ohio, its springbreak everyday there!..If you can survive until the bars close it gets really crazy....lol.

Boating is great too, I love to fish off a boat, although saltwater fishing is so much better. You are kindof limited to the types of fish in Lake Erie, Ocean fishing you never know what you'll get.

I usually go to my best friends house in Lake Geneva, Erich will know where that is. From there we go see live music such as The Blue Olives or Damn Nation or stay home and play games with friends like Risk and Grass.
There is a campground that I like to go to in New London called Wolf River Camping & Tubing. Which is exactly what we do, I usually call ahead and ask for the most remote campsite they have. I tell them we are coming to drink and make some noise, please don't kick us out A tubing trip that is supposed to take 4 hours usually takes us 8 There is alot of stopping and drinking and smoking on the way down.(beware of super shooters)
Other than that I play alot of WoW
